SPW 23 Spiral Gasket
The SPW 23 spiral gasket consists of an inner ring and a sealing part. The inner ring can be made of standard steel materials.
The spiral can be made with fillings such as graphite, PTFE, ceramics, and mica.
Advantages of using an inner ring:
- prevents the radial squeezing of the filling material (PTFE);
- protects the sealing element against tearing;
- reduces turbulence - minimizing flow resistance and crevice corrosion;
- acts as a heat shield when the gasket is exposed to high temperatures.
