SPW 12 Spiral Gasket
The SPW 12 spiral gasket consists of an outer ring and a sealing part. The outer ring can be made of standard steel materials.
The spiral can be made with fillings such as graphite, PTFE, ceramics, and mica.
Advantages of using the outer ring:
- ensures optimal placement of the gasket between the screws;
- prevents overloading and over-compression of the sealing element;
- prevents radial squeezing of a filling as soft as PTFE.
- protects the sealing element against tearing;
