Ceramic thermal insulation tapes are available on a glass remote control and reinforced with Inconel.
There are thermal insulation ceramic tapes made of two types of yarn:
-
from ceramic yarn on a glass pilot - working temperature up to 600°C
-
from ceramic yarn reinforced with Inconel - working temperature up to 1200°C
The thermal insulation ceramic tape is braided from aluminosilicate yarn, made of ceramic fibers, containing a small admixture of organic fibers (14–18%), which are annealed after installation.
Properties
-
non-flammable
-
very good thermal and electrical insulating properties (with glass reinforcement)
-
chemical resistance
-
resistance to liquid aluminum and zinc
Application
-
insulation of components exposed to high temperature
-
thermal insulation of high-temperature installations and steam installations
-
thermal insulation of hoses, cables and wires working near heat sources
-
insulation of covers and manholes in static connections, at high operating temperature
