Properties
Jointing sheet Novatec Premium XP is a new generation board that combines aramid and graphite fibers. Its advantage over conventional plates is the production technology - the morphology of graphite has been optimized. Thanks to this, graphite fibers have a structure that affects the effectiveness of the seal. It is resistant to above-average residual stresses, so it does not need mesh reinforcement.
A very high amount of graphite gives the Novatec Premium XP board such properties as:
- high temperature resistance
- significant reduction of leakage thanks to the careful design of the graphite structure
- Complies with German air pollution regulations ("TA Luft") and with the VDI 2290 sealing system
- excellent residual stress
- extended temperature range up to 300 ° C
- high media resistance
- non-stick coating effective for a long time
Application
Jointing sheet Novatec Premium XP outperforms conventional aramid fiber and graphite gaskets. It is an alternative for applications with demanding media and temperatures up to approx. 250 ° C. In addition, the lack of a metal insert has a good effect on chemical resistance.
