Properties
Jointing sheet Novaphit SSTC is made of high purity (99%) expanded graphite. It is reinforced with a stainless steel mesh with acid-resistant properties, which increases the dimensional stability of the material. Moreover, the three-dimensional structure of the mesh increases the sealing properties of the graphite plate. This combination and the applied XP technology give the seal the following properties:
- excellent ability to adapt to the unevenness of the collar
- resistance to changing loads
- high temperature resistance from -200 ° C to 550 ° C
- durability and effectiveness even within the external limits of use
- good chemical resistance
Due to the special XP technology used on request in Novaphit SSTC, graphite is more resistant to oxidation. This significantly increases the dimensional stability of the plate at high temperatures and thus extends the machine life and installation reliability.
Another advantage of the Novaphit SSTC plate resulting from the application of the XP technology is a significant reduction of graphite deposits on the sealed surface. This makes dismantling the gasket easier and there is no need to clean the flanges (possibly only basic cleaning). This saves time and protects the flanges to be sealed.
Application
Graphite reinforced gasket sheet Novaphit SSTC can be used as a standard gasket in almost all applications. Its properties reduce the risk of using the wrong material, and at the same time reduce storage costs.
