RTJ Gaskets
RTJ gaskets are metallic sealing rings used wherever there are high pressures of 1500 bar and temperatures of 1000°C. They are used in combination with special flanges that ensure proper sealing with the right choice of material and profile.
RTJ gaskets come in two basic profiles:
- oval (M8)
- octagonal (M9)
RTJ ring joint seals are designed for high-pressure applications. They are available in a variety of forms to fit a variety of collars. RTJs can be used for very high and/or fluctuating pressures depending on the profile selected. The choice of material determines the use at high temperatures (up to 1000°C) and in aggressive media. To ensure a proper seal, the contact surface of the gaskets with the flange must be carefully machined. The small sealing area and high pressure ensure perfect tightness.
