The reinforced ceramic fabric is reinforced with a thin wire, i.e. an inconel. It is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel, included in the group of the so-called superalloys (superalloys), which exhibits such properties as:
-
high heat resistance,
-
strength and creep resistance at high temperatures,
-
good surface stability,
-
corrosion and oxidation resistance.
Application
Thanks to the reinforcement of the ceramic fabric reinforced with inconel, it can work at temperatures up to 1200°C
It has applications such as:
- as a curtain for furnace door and welding
-
insulation of elements exposed to high temperature,
- as protection against splashes of molten metal
-
thermal insulation of high-temperature installations,
- for collecting dust and debris at high temperatures
-
splices and compensators covers,
