Porous EPDM rubber plate has acid-resistant and heat-resistant properties. EPDM rubber is flexible and is often used in the automotive industry.
EPDM porous rubber sheets
EPDM porous rubber sheets

Very good chemical resistance and resistance to ozone and weather conditions.

Porous EPDM rubber sheets (micro-rubber) can be produced without sticking or with gluing (on one side of the plate there is an adhesive secured with paper)

The color of the plates is black. This rubber is made of small, closed cells, thanks to which it regains its shape under higher loads, is soft and flexible.

Properties

EPDM rubber is a high-quality rubber plate. It is a heat-resistant and acid-resistant rubber, made on the basis of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber. This type of rubber gives the board the following properties:

  • temperature resistance in the range of -40°C to 120°C - this means that EPDM rubber undergoes reversible deformation in this range, arising under the influence of mechanical forces, without losing the continuity of the material structure

  • water vapor resistance up to 150°C

  • good chemical resistance to diluted organic and inorganic acids and alkalis (potassium and sodium and cleaning agents), oxygen and ozone

  • good resistance to weather conditions, heat aging and UV radiation

  • resistance to silicone-based oils and greases

  • resistance to brake oils containing glycol

  • good abrasion resistance compared to other rubbers

  • EPDM rubber should not be used with mineral oils and hydrocarbons (aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated)

Application

Porous EPDM rubber is used in a wide variety of industries. Very well suited for working with high loads and for sealing heavy components. It is used for the production of shock-absorbing and vibration-damping elements.

In addition, it is used for the production of window seals, transmission belts, seals in water systems, roofing, etc.

Due to its good resistance to weather conditions, EPDM rubber is used as an outdoor rubber lining. It is perfect for playgrounds and sports facilities, where it provides safety for users by shock absorption and protection against slipping. In addition, it is used on stairs, as rubber for road machines and cranes, for terraces, etc.
