TCF textolit sheet, i.e. cotton-phenolic board, is an extremely mechanically resistant laminate used at high temperatures. Among other construction materials, textolit is distinguished by very good resistance to mechanical, thermal and impact overloads. In addition, rezotex is creep resistant, which means that it does not melt or change its shape with prolonged exposure to loads, even at high temperatures. Therefore, apart from being used in electrical insulation, rezotex textolit sheets are an excellent semi-finished product for the production of structural elements of machines and devices.
Textolite plates are made by combining cotton fabric with phenolic resin. Several layers of the carrier, i.e. cotton fabric, are carefully pressed together with phenolic resin, creating an extremely resistant construction and electrically insulating material.
The most important properties include:
- good electrical insulating properties,
- high mechanical strength,
- very good machinability,
- permissible continuous work temperature up to 120°C
- creep resistance, i.e. dimensional stability under long-term loads at high temperatures,
- very good abrasion resistance (low coefficient of friction and good sliding properties)
- good chemical resistance
- can work in oil and grease
Application
Most often, cotton-phenolic plates are used to cut electrical insulating and construction elements. This use is due to the properties of the textolit plates, which are extremely mechanically strong and have good electrical properties.
Textolite as a construction material is used for more demanding applications such as high temperature and long-term mechanical stress. Therefore, phenolic plates are used in the steel and machine industry as a construction material for such elements as:
- bearings and slide bushings
- rolling and running elements
- guides
- sealing rings
- wheels and toothed bars
- transporting and tensioning rollers
Another application for textolit plates is the electrical industry. They are cut from electro-insulating and structural elements of oil transformers and electric motors as well as low and medium-voltage switchgear.
Cotton-phenolic panels are also used to create high-quality thermal insulation, especially for sloping and flat roofs, as well as for three-layer and two-layer external walls.
Thickness and sizes
Thickness: from 0,3 to 150 mm
Size: 1250 mm x 2750 mm +/- 50 mm
1000 mm x 2000 mm +/- 50 mm
The above formats of phenolic plates are standard sizes, available in our warehouse practically "on the spot". However, at the customer's request, we cut the textolit boards to size. They are then delivered to the customer in the form of ready-made forms that better suit individual needs.
It is also possible to order ready-made textolit details. We consider these types of orders individually, taking into account the size of the order. In the case of ready-made elements, we need a technical drawing, on the basis of which we cut out specific details.
