High temperature resistant polyamide with molybdenum disulfide.
Properties
Polyamide PA 6 MoS2 in its composition contains the addition of a lubricant, i.e. molybdenum disulfide. In contrast to its basic version, it has better resistance to high temperatures, greater durability and resistance to tearing and mechanical stress. In addition, polyamide with molybdenum disulfide has such properties as:
- better sliding properties
- higher creep resistance
- better abrasion resistance
- greater stiffness and dimensional stability of details made of it
It also has properties such as:
black color
density 1.14 g/cm3
water absorption at the level of 9%
dielectric strength 20kV / mm
mp 220°C
good mechanical strength
long-term operating temperature 100°C
short-term operating temperature 160°C
high ductility
high sliding and frictional properties
very good machinability
Application
Polyamide PA 6 MoS2 with molybdenum disulfide is most often used for the production of machine and device parts that are exposed to high forces and stresses. Examples of such parts are:
joints (ball)
tool holders, sliding elements, guides, skid plates
pump housings, transport boxes, toothed bars, seals
transmission parts, plain bearings, ball bearing housings, sheaves, pulleys, steering rollers
gear wheels, for the construction of installations and devices, tools, machines, and agricultural machinery, in the automotive industry.
